PHOTOGRAPHY: 

At age 15, I began my photographic journey with a Canon SLR and a determination of documenting the China I had missed so much. It would be my second trip back to the motherland since immigrating to America at age 7. I had always reminisced of those humble industrious cities and their intense, urban appeal that surrounded me as a child. The memories persistently provoked me to capture its substance concretely. There was also a compulsive longing to relive the childhood I had in China.
Thirteen years later, I am still in a constant flux of growth and fascination with photography as a medium and as a communication.
Most of my artwork and its eclectic range of themes are currently online with self-publication as the main focus through my personal website. Jinwensi.com has grown to be seen by an international audience. Some of my photographs are also exhibited on other websites based mainly in my current residence of the San Francisco Bay Area, California. Non-virtual exhibitions, accompanied with self-made art books, coming soon starting with local galleries and advancing onto intercontinental galleries.
